Our Stories

“We have a story to tell, a story filled with hope and love and God’s grace and mercy. We’ve got a story of God in our lives, a story of ways that Jesus has already been working in our lives sometimes without our even knowing."

- Presiding Bishop Michael Curry

Evangelicalism through storytelling.

What does this mean exactly? And how can we do it? Simple, we need to share our stories.

The Diocese of WNC has a rich history, from the mountains to the foothills. We want to uncover what makes the parishes in our diocese truly unique, from their stories to their histories to their Sunday-afternoon yoga classes. As Bishop José visits parishes around our diocese, we are working to listen to the members of the communities, for it is within them that stories are made, and the future of our faith continues.

Have something cool about your parish you want to share? Contact our Communications Officer.

Quarantine with Bishop José

In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Bishop José created "Quarantine with Bishop José" to keep the diocese laughing and smiling even during challenging times. Watch the series below.

Visitations with Bishop José
