As we look for ways to nourish both body and spirit, a powerful opportunity is taking root in our diocese: the creation of a network of community gardeners—individuals, families, congregations, and existing garden groups like those at St. Mark’s and All Saints in Gastonia—committed to growing food and sharing it with those in need.
Whether you tend a backyard plot, help with a parish garden, or simply have ideas or tools to share, we want to hear from you. Our goal is to connect and organize the gifts already present among us—soil, seeds, experience, time, and passion—so we can amplify our efforts and ensure that fresh food reaches more tables in our communities.
For now, we are coalescing this network in a Facebook Group so members can easily post and read about current offerings.
We're inviting all interested members across the diocese to join this growing movement. Share how you're currently helping, tell us what you need, or let us know what resources you can offer—be it seedlings, compost, time, or wisdom. Together, we can build a living network of support, resilience, and abundance.
