On Friday, June 20th, Scott Owings, Chris Roberts, and other musicians with the Coalition for Contemplative Justice performed their Moon Requiem at St. George's. Though modernly composed, the music is written in a classical style, reflecting the eight phases of the moon in eight movements of one larger piece.

The concert was offered by our Disaster Response and Recovery Team for ongoing healing in the wake of Hurricane Helene. It was sponsored by our WNC Episcopal Disaster Response, Episcopal Relief & Development, and The Cathedral of All Souls.
