Exploring Our Churches

Piedmont Area

The Piedmont Deanery sits just west of the City of Charlotte. Due to its proximity to Charlotte the area has a different feel and culture than the rest of the Diocese and might be best described as blending cosmopolitan feel with undeniable Southern charm. The Piedmont Deanery has 10 Episcopal churches served by nine clergy, four who are part-time. Being one of the two farthest deaneries from Asheville, the clergy meet regularly for support and in order to share ministries.
