About The Event

One of the unique features at this year’s convention is setting aside sacred space to honor our past and name our blessings and dreams for the future. We are creating space for an altar of memory at Trinity that honors and celebrates the lives of all those who have gone before us, especially in the past year. This space will offer people an opportunity to name either a member of their family, church, community who died this past year or years past. Likewise, at the festival revival worship service with the Presiding Bishop, we will create a focal piece behind the altar that names our blessings and hopes and dreams for our church and world as we move into the next 100 years of ministry together.

We are inviting everyone in the diocese, not just those attending convention, to share with us pictures of those who have died as well as their blessings and hopes.  All of the names and prayers collected will be written out on ribbon that will be woven as one loom to serve as the altar backdrop for Sunday’s worship service.
