About The Event
As we prepare to celebrate baptisms with our Latino/Hispanic community in Mitchell and Yancey Counties this coming weekend, we are reminded of the powerful invitation of John the Baptist: to turn our lives around and realign our hearts with God’s love and purpose.
We are living in a time when this invitation is needed more than ever, a time to pause, reflect, listen deeply, and intentionally recenter ourselves, our communities, and our relationships in the life-giving work of building God’s beloved community.
This September, we invite you to join us for the diocesan Becoming Beloved Community / Dismantling Racism Workshop. We encourage you to invite friends, neighbors, and community members to take part in two meaningful days of conversation, reflection, connection, and renewed commitment to the ongoing work of dismantling racism in our communities.
