Upcoming "Repairing the Breach Events" Posted: January 26, 2010
Week of March 13-21, 2010
Dain and Constance Perry from Boston will be in the Diocese to help us with our truth and reconciliation process related to segregation and slavery. Dain is a descendent of the largest slave trader in colonial America and Constance is a descendent of slaves here in the South. They have gone all over the country accompanying the film "Traces of the Trade", a documentary which chronicles the DeWolf family's honest, courageous and redemptive journey of faith and healing as they have tried to come to grips with the painful elements of racism in their family history. They are a remarkable couple with a hopeful message, and we are delighted they will spend this entire week with us.

Dain and Constance to be doing various local events. Those interested in scheduling an event with them should contact Jim Abbott at St. Matthias', Asheville.
March 20, 2010
Training Event II at St. Andrew's, Canton, for Clergy and Parish Partners from congregations in the western half* of the Diocese.
*Note: As these workshops are identical, it does not matter which Training
Event a parish elects to attend. Since the two sites are relatively near
to the center of the Diocese, it gives parishes more flexibility to choose
which date is the more convenient one for them to select.
